By default, customers are responsible for the full replacement cost of all items in an order if the an item is damaged, lost, or goes missing in transit.

To give peace of mind, Celeb offers an insurance add-on for each of its orders! For an order in your cart, you can add insurance by tapping the checkbox next to the insurance quote.

INSURANCE COST

The price of our insurance depends on the value of items in an order and the transit method for the order.

DAMAGE INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS

The protection is for accidental damage and loss during transit only. This primarily includes:

  • Accidental stains that cannot be remedied by spot cleaning or dry-cleaning;

  • Accidental tears or rips;

  • Accidental detachment of pieces from the item, such as buttons or jewels.

The following is excluded:

  • Intentional or reckless damage or staining

  • Damage or stains caused by self-tanner or make-up. Customers are responsible for ensuring that use of these products do not cause permanent damage to items.

  • Damage caused by attempted alterations, even if such alterations are temporary (such as pinning).

TRANSIT INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS

The transit protection is for loss during transit only. This primarily includes:

  • Items that have been scanned in to the USPS system or marked as picked up by Uber courier, but are not marked as delivered to the final destination.

The following are excluded:

  • Orders which are not scanned in to the USPS system or items which are not marked as picked up by Uber;

  • Orders which were lost or stolen AFTER they were marked delivered to the address specified by the customer or curator during the order process

DAMAGED ITEMS MUST BE RETURNED

Even when an item has been clearly damaged beyond repair, it must still be returned by the return date for your booking.

If you don't return the item, it will be deemed lost or stolen and insurance protection will not apply.

The return allows the Curator to evaluate the damage and explore the best options for repair. A return is also required as proof that you are not just using insurance as a way to keep an item you like, but can't purchase elsewhere.

ONLY CLEAN OR REPAIR WITH CURATOR'S CONSENT

You should not attempt to clean or repair damaged items yourself, or have it attempted by others (such as a dry-cleaner or seamstress) unless expressly authorized by the item's Curator.

Unless otherwise specified by the Curator, damaged or stained items must be returned as is, so that cleaning and/or repairs can be handled by the owner of the item. Cleaning the item on your own without express consent voids the insurance protection.
